Now Hiring for: Traveling Mechanical Millwright

Introduction:
PLS is looking to hire self-motivated, talented, safety minded professionals to add to our Team. Do you want to work with the best? We hire only the best! PLS is hiring Travelling Mechanical Millwrights for multiple projects in 2020.

Job Description:
Travelling Mechanical Millwrights should be able to perform the following tasks:
• Read and interpret engineering specifications, schematics/mechanical drawings/blueprints and technical manuals
• Our millwrights install, dismantle, maintain, troubleshoot & repair machinery to specifications.
• Use appropriate precision standard and/or metric tools to properly measure, cut, install, level, align & test or troubleshoot machinery.
• Work with welding & brazing equipment
• Grind and file machinery parts
• Perform layout for millwright work
• May build foundation for machines.
• Works with multiple industry specific complex precision machinery
• Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, tram rails, gear boxes, ETC.
• Determine and use appropriate equipment to lift and move machinery. Operate rigging equipment, hoists, dollies, trucks.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
• Understand and implement lockout/tagout if required
• Work productively and safely.
• Wear appropriate PPE including but not limited to: hard-hat, safety glasses, vi-viz vest or shirt, protection, masks or respirators, gloves and steel-toe boots
Job Requirements:
• Have a VALID Driver License
• Be able to pass a Background check with no Felony convictions within the past 10 years
• Live a Drug Free life
• Professional attitude with the ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Able to work at heights greater than 20’ from a scissor or boom lift
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to kneel, bend and stoop
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Possess the following list of tools:
o Any or all basic hand tools, and a toolbox or bag.
o Tape measure
o 2LB small sledgehammer
o Level (7-10 inch)
o Band cutters (tin snips)
o 3/8” ratchet set with standard sockets ranging from 3/8” to 1” (deep well recommended)
o Standard wrench set
o Set of standard Allen wrenches
o Line up pin or drift-pin (8-10 inches long)
o Square (small carpenter one)
• Have (or willing to get) OSHA 10 or 30

Wage: Depends on skill assessment testing. Ranges from $19 for Apprentice up to $28 for certified journeymen.
Per Diem: $80+ per day worked
Hours: 50+ depending on project and what phase projects are in. Most we will work is 7/10’s, least we will work is 5/10’s
Duration: We don’t hire per project. We hire with the goal of working our Pros continuously.
