Hiring Safety Manager (Solar Experience)

Summary: The safety Manager is responsible for overseeing the safety and health program of each individual contractor assigned to him/her. The safety manager may be required to oversee all aspects of site safety for the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Incident and accident reporting to corporate safety director
• Ensure daily Job Safety Analysis are being performed
• Ensure that equipment inspections are being completed
• Provide any reporting data to customer as required
• Lead accident/incident investigations
• Case Management
• Work with Construction Manager to develop site specific safety plans
• Ensure that site specific orientations are being done
• Ensure that a daily behavioral based observation is being done for all contractors
• Ensure that a weekly site audit is completed and filed for each site of responsibility
• Generate Job Hazard analysis for each scope of work
• Ensure that employees and contractors have adequate training
• Perform other safety/management functions as needed

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• OSHA 500, OSHA 510 will be considered with 3 yrs. construction experience
• Active First Aid, CPR and AED certification
• Microsoft word, excel and power point
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass DMV background check
• Must pass drug screen as required

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Work is to be performed in the field and in the office.
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. PPE personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; hard hat, arc flash protection, safety glasses, hearing protection and hard toe boots)
• Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day in a field environment. (This may be in hot or cold environments as required)
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
