Under general supervision, maintains diagnoses and repairs a variety of heavy construction equipment. Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value Safety, first in everything we do.
Always use proper PPE around the shop and when working on equipment
Perform routine maintenance on construction equipment, such as DOT trucks/Mixers, graders, dozers, loaders, pumps, compressors, tools etc..
Accurately record time, inventory, and inspection checklist using computer system
Able to diagnose problems by using electronic technician (Cat ET), Cummings Insite and Mack Tech Tool
Must be able to read, understand and follow directions on all equipment manuals
Performs preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment routinely as needed
Some minor welding
Responsible for filling out daily work orders with details and accuracy
Responsible for turning in approved parts request forms
Field service repairs on as needed basis
Responsible for keeping clean and safe work area
Performs other related duties as assigned
Must have a minimum of (5) years of experience working on trucks and large/small construction equipment. Also, work independently
Must have own tools and possess valid drivers license CDL a plus
Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
Team player with good interpersonal skills, self-starter, good verbal and written communication skills.
Dedicated, dependable and hard working.
Must have the ability to meet deadlines on set schedules
Ability to work and adapt to flexible schedules
