[Heavy Equipment] Utility Scale Heavy Equipment Operators

We are looking for excavator and utility equipment operators in the Charlotte area for two different clients of ours who are based in the Charlotte/triad region. This is full-time work with the possibility of being hired on directly with these companies. Below is a complete detailed job description. The pay is based on your experience level and competitive.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the Utilities Project Manager and executive team, this position is responsible for coordination and direct installation of storm, sanitary sewer, waterlines, and any other necessary operational need to assist in the overall goals related to residential land development:
• Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site, or highway construction and excavation.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and provide required reports. Any defects or needed repairs should be reported to the shop foreman; cleans equipment.
• Maintain certifications required by all state and federal agencies and company safety programs.
• Extensive travel in NC and potential for other travel.
• Flexibility of working hours and locations.
Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
• Proficient at reading blue prints.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk/communicate and receive information verbally. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk expansive project sites (rough terrain). The employee must regularly lift and/or move 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
