Hard Requirement: MUST HAVE TX Asbestos Inspector license AND TX Mold Assessor license.
Openings due to snow storm in TX. Buildings were not prepared for snow and as it melted the buildings and material were damaged.
Duration: 3 months - may extend longer
Location: Houston, TX preferred, then Dallas and anywhere in-between
Schedule: 7 days/week to start while on emergency response
Travel: Lots of drive time from Dallas, Houston and Austin (Paid for drive time - mileage reimbursement OR will be given vehicle/ rental car.)
Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Hygienist:
Collect air, and/or building material samples.
Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
Industrial Hygiene Assessments
Indoor Environmental Quality
Building Material Sample Collection
Water Intrusion and Mold Assessments
Visible suspect biological growth assessments
Mold Sampling and Clearance Protocols
Asbestos Assessments and Abatement Oversight
Asbestos abatement air monitoring and project oversight
Ensure safe work practices on all project work
What we're looking for:
At least 2-4 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.
Experience with industrial hygiene, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.
State (TX) Asbestos Inspector license; LA license a plus
State (TX) Asbestos Air Monitoring license; LA license a plus
State (TX) Asbestos Project Manager license is a plus
State (TX) Mold Assessor license
Experience conducting asbestos surveys and overseeing asbestos/mold abatements
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
Strong communication skills
Technical writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
