Performs routine inspections of building facility equipment, noting deficiencies, and initiates repairs. Responds to customer requests to address facility deficiencies. Assists staff to trouble-shoot repairs as well as installation of facility equipment. Responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance and performing repairs. Responsible for recording equipment conditions and malfunctions reporting to the Supervisor. Transports various supplies, parts, and building materials and delivers to appropriate locations as required. Monitors and inspects equipment for proper operations and reports all deficiencies to Supervisor. Track all work performed through Maximo including close out of service requests and associated hours. Installs and maintains electrical wiring, switch gears, fuses, lighting fixtures, heating devices, motors and other hospital electrical apparatuses, conforming to the national and local codes and regulations. Installs, repairs and maintains facility equipment (e.g. patient beds, exhaust fans, fire doors, patient call lights, pillow speaker units, intercom systems, parking lot gates, lights, alarm systems, etc.). May perform lamp maintenance including changing electrical apparatus from AC to DC or DC to AC; and wiring of transformers for any voltage connection. Maintains knowledge of and documents all Hospital electrical apparatus functions. Checks all motor operation and lighting in and around the Hospital on a regular basis. Monitors systems for energy conservation opportunities.
