This position requires you work in the field 100 of the times.
* No Prior Experience required
You will be going to scheduled Residential homes and check check pipes and meters for Corrosion, Leaks, and Erosion
Company will pay you to attend a 2-3 week training program in Yonkers, before hitting the field.
This is a long term opportunity to move in to supervisory roles and other larger programs.
Starting wage is $18/hr
Ideal Candidate are candidates
would be from Yonkers, Bronx or Westchester County residents.
1. NEED A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE and Own a personal Vehicle
2. Professional - position will be required to entering customers homes
3. Good communication skills - ability to speak clearly and communicate the job
Perform periodic facility inspections and surveys on utility-owned gas meters
Complete all necessary documentation
Ensure readings and records are in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
Support the successful completion of regulatory audits and inspections
Integrity surveys, which include direct assessments and close interval surveys
Perform audit reviews with operations and support them during audits.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previously obtained a high school diploma or equivalent
Have basic to intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office Applications, (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..).
Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and initiative skills
Be able to work in both a team setting and as an individual with minimal supervision
Interface with technical services, government agencies, emergency planning committees, emergency responders, landowners, contractors, etc...
Demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and mechanical aptitude.
Possess a valid state drivers license, candidates could be asked to use PPS vehicles or move PPS vehicles at any time. This is a requirement for employment with all PPS employees.
