A full-service geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, environmental consulting, and compliance management firm. What they are looking for is an individual who can be cross trained as a Construction Material Tester as well as testing for their environmental remediation business. This individual's job duties/description is:
CMT Job Duties:
The CMT will be assisting and learning from senior CMT technicians doing construction material testing.
The material they will be testing will be soil (Compaction and soil sampling), concrete (Strength Test), and Asphalt.
The CMT will take concrete samples randomly from the concrete truck. From there he/she will put the samples in a cylinder and label to be tested later at their lab.
The CMT will use a nuclear density machine (They will be trained on this) to test the compaction % of the soil. Individual must be aware of the specifications for that project and what the % must be. Specifications are construction guidelines that must be followed per project.
He/She will drive to the work site using their own vehicle, then have access to their vehicles they stay on-site
