Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Director to perform and oversee highway facilities (rest area and weight station) maintenance operations in the Tampa, FL area. The project is a multi-year, performance-based, transportation asset management contract with Florida's Department of Transportation. This position requires leading and performing a variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance, including scheduling assignments and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants, continuity of business operations and the cleanliness of work areas. Adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies and procedures.

The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service, exceptional technical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including electrical, mechanical, general building trouble-shooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in scheduling building inspections, maintenance and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, systems, norms of operation, occupancy and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsibly and professionally. Candidate should speak and understand English well, be customer service oriented, a self starter, reliable, flexible, conduct themselves in a professional manner, and be able to make informed decisions.

Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of facilities related experience, Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth Strong, leadership qualities; must have experience in overseeing, directing and leading facilities crews.

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check


Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:
Full time; Must be flexible, able to travel, and work varying schedules.
