Project Engineer

Perini Management Services, Inc. (PMSI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation specializing in design-build construction for U.S. federal agencies, both within and outside the continental United States. We also provide construction services for U.S. multi-national firms and select foreign governments. We are known for our ability to execute complex construction projects within aggressive schedules and to a high level of quality.


PMSI is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Project Engineer for our project located in Georgia. This key project role assist various Project Staff in ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and on schedule. The Project Engineer is the primary go-between for PMSI, Design Team, and Owner for all submittals and RFIs. They are in charge of all document control for their assigned project, including plans and specifications, RFI’s, submittals, as built drawings, and project O&M manuals. The Project Engineer is responsible for tracking all Sub-Contracts, Applications for Payment, Owner and Sub Contract change orders.
Some duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
• Assist Project Manager in procurement, scopes and contract execution.
• Provide support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, review of submittals.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings, and document accordingly.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule
• Provide support on preconstruction activities, including subcontracts, purchase orders and procurement
• Assist the Project Manager in Project Monthly reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.


• Four year engineering or construction related degree or equivalent technical training and related experience
• Working knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Prolog, CAD, Primavera, and Contract Manager
• Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills
• U.S. Citizenship required for access to site.
• 3 years minimum experience working on large Commercial Projects.
