FIELD SERVICE MILLWRIGHT


NAK Kiln Services, performs the design, manufacture, installation, and service of rotary kilns. We support cement manufacturers, paper mills, mineral and chemical processing companies located in all parts of the United States.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Installs and repairs equipment and machinery in industrial establishment by performing the following duties.


Include the following (and any other duties as assigned):

- Fit bearings, align gears and tires and attach motors.

- Use hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs to perform tasks.

- Install, repair, replace and dismantle machinery according to blueprint specifications.

- Act as signal person for NAK KILN SERVICES employed crane operators to ensure continuity of safety on the worksite.

- Welding: Join steel materials using FCAW (dual shield) and SMAW (stick) to form a permanent bond according to AWS D1.1 Structural code.

- Oxy/Acetylene Cutting: Use heat from burning gases to cut and trim metal objects to specific dimensions.

- Carbon Arc Gouging: Use compressed air and an electric arc to remove existing weld or steel to repair cracks or prepare a full penetration weld

- Move equipment and materials to different locations using a forklift and/or manlift.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- 2 years' work experience as a millwright journeyman in construction of heavy industrial equipment, petrochemical, power generation, or similar

- Must have knowledge of basic welding and flame cutting,

- able to use pneumatic tools,

- have knowledge of safe loads and wire rope basics: familiarity with basic hand signals and basic rigging knowledge

- strong understanding of proper equipment use, tools, and work procedures.

- Ability to work independently, anticipate and plan work in accordance to established schedules and procedures.

- MSHA/OSHA and other Health and Safety certifications are desirable.

- An equivalent combination of education, supervisory experience and related construction experience may be considered.


ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER DEMANDS

- Dedication to a safe and compliant project.

- Ability to lift, carry and move 50lb+.

- Candidate must have a valid US driver's license.

- Industrial Equipment (forklift, man-lift, scissor lift, etc) operator a plus

- MSHA trained and knowledgeable of MSHA/OSHA regulations.

- Ability to travel and work overtime (including nights, weekends and holidays) along with working outdoors and in all weather conditions.

- Travel: This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States. Employee is regularly required to be away from home for several weeks at a time.
