Position Summary: Jorgensen is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Field Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the work of the maintenance technician crews who will be performing roadway and facility (rest and recreational area) maintenance operations. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of Rest Area maintenance activities (preventive and corrective), repairs, setups, and other service requests that provide all visitors with a safe, orderly, comfortable, and attractive environment. The Facilities Field Supervisor will supervise and oversee other maintenance technicians to ensure all work is being performed accurately and within requested timeframe. Maintain a familiarity with the Rest Area systems and respond to customer needs professionally. The position will support Rest Areas located in the Tampa, FL area.
The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service, exceptional technical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including electrical, mechanical, general building trouble-shooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in scheduling building inspections, maintenance and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, systems, norms of operation, occupancy and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsibly and professionally. Candidate should speak and understand English well, be customer service oriented, a self-starter, reliable, flexible, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be able to make informed decisions, and have a willingness to learn.
Experience and Skills required:
- Requires minimum 3 yrs related experience
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Customer interface (communications, problem solving, work prioritization & scheduling)
- Electrical skills (changing LED drivers, lights, minor electrical, and troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with UPS / Emergency Generator and Fire / Life / Safety Systems
- Plumbing skills, (minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures)
- Building skills, (doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc.)
- Meeting setup skills (arranging chairs/tables, AV equipment setup)
- Painting skills, (for touch-ups and misc.)
- Computer skills, (email, scheduling, maintenance management, work order & PM's)
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in a diverse environment, managing at least six (6) employees
Mid-level working experience with EXCEL spreadsheets and mobile Applications for data entry and reporting
Good Communication skills, in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certifications (traffic control)
Roadway and toll lane maintenance experience
Wheel Loader, Skid steer, Forklift, Asphalt Roller, etc.
Spanish/English bilingual (written and spoken)
CDL License a plus
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest office and field technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
$18 - $24/hr depending on experience.
Full time; Day shift, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required. The Supervisor is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, depending on the work needs, may be expected to respond to any emergency call at any time, and be able to coordinate immediate response either in person or through the staff assigned to him/her.
