Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for Cost Analyst opportunities for our customer in Carlsbad, NM to support the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).

Per Diem available for those who quality.
Work Location is on-site at WIPP. A hybrid schedule allowing up to 1 week work from home per month may be considered.

The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of basic cost and schedule duties applying planning and control techniques in accordance with established procedures. Analyze cost and schedule performance, against the planned budget and provide preliminary performance data on a monthly basis (Cost and Schedule variance preparation). Assist in preparing Estimates to Complete. Process journals/corrections due to charging errors (cost or timesheet). Assist in preparing documentation to support proposed baseline changes. Programmatic Change Control form and before and after documentation. Interface with other cost analysts and departments in problem resolution or system and process improvements. Utilize project schedules to understand upcoming planned work. Assist in the preparation and distribution of basic data reports. Support standard and ad-hoc report development. Perform account reconciliation for multiple projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of professional experience, or
Associate’s Degree i with seven (7) years of professional experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with eleven (11) years of relevant experience is required.
Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with deadlines.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends in support of month end closing activities and special projects.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See
DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Earned Valued Management System (EVMS) and concepts including BCWS, BCWP, CV, SV, TCPI, etc., and in the presentation of EVMS Reporting is preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have experience with Deltek Cobra Software, Deltek wInsight, Oracle Peoplesoft Financial software, and/or Primavera.
Ability to interface with internal and external customers at all levels of a project team directly or virtually is desired.
Advanced usage knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Excel and advanced proficiency with other Microsoft (MS) Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Access) is preferred.
Preference given to candidates with hands-on experience with financial tools, primarily with Deltek and Oracle suite of products.
Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.
