Work Location: Richmond VA
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidates requested rate
Work Schedule: 5x8's to start, but OT may be required during construction phases
PD: $213.00 (7 days for FT contractors)
Mob / Demob: $500.00
Duration: Initially 36 months

Position Details/Scope of Work:
This will be 3+years of support. This will support installation of 186 10MW wind turbines 25 miles offshore:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical support and guidance to construction and procurement teams regarding wind turbine systems and equipment, construction schedule, project design, work plans, and troubleshooting
Ensure equipment proposals to ensure conformance with project specifications
Contribute to the procurement strategy for the project in relation to the turbine selection, commercial evaluation, and technical risks/opportunities, with direct responsibility for the technical aspects
Work with the wider Engineering team to ensure technical requirements in the projects contracts are understood and incorporated into all design activities
Work with other team members, suppliers and contractors to review project documentation (system design, engineering drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, etc.) Lead the RFI process with suppliers and contractors to support the initiation, tracking and resolution of technical queries
Lead technical interfaces with internal/external stakeholders and equipment suppliers across various project packages (wind turbine generators, foundations, offshore substations, transportation and installation, and onshore grid connection)
Identify and implement resolutions to technical challenges relating to the wind turbine works and interfaces impacting project schedule and budget Develops and adopts lean processes that efficiently deliver project objectives

Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree (any engineering discipline)
Prior wind turbine experience
Offshore wind a big plus
