Road Construction Permit Administrator

Location: Miami, FL
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $70k - $83k/year

Job Summary:

This role requires an experienced professional to efficiently manage roadway permits and Right of Way, Construction, and Infrastructure (RCI) aspects for transportation projects in the Miami Dade area.

Responsibilities:

� Coordinate, process, and inspect permits for roadway projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
� Enter permit data into the tracking system, process permits promptly, and report status updates regularly.
� Review and approve plans for roadway, MOT, and right-of-way encroachment.
� Conduct field inspections to verify contractor work methods and document results in the permitting system.
� Update and maintain permit information in the tracking systems daily.
� Ensure permittee adherence to approved requirements and regulations.
� Attend post-approval meetings, inspections, and obtain project certifications.
� Demonstrate adherence to safety standards and procedures.
� Read and interpret plans, specifications, and design standards.
� Operate electronic devices proficiently.
� Perform various duties as assigned by management.
� Inspect field operations and create work orders in the company's database.
� Participate in on-call dispatch rotation.
� Conduct RCI's Construction and 5-Year Inspections, submit updates to the Department, and track inspection due dates.
� Coordinate and track accepted construction projects within contract limits.
� Review and request lane closure permits for routine and structural maintenance work.

Qualifications:

� High school graduate or equivalent.
� Minimum three (3) years of roadway maintenance/construction experience.
� Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
� Ability to perform mathematical calculations and inspect maintenance contract projects.
� Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
� Valid and current Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification.
� Authorization to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.
