Quality Control Manager

Location: Washington, D.C.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $115k - $130k

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, ensuring that construction projects adhere to industry standards, regulations, and client specifications. The Quality Control Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality construction practices and delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:

� Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for construction projects, outlining inspection and testing procedures.
� Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish quality standards and expectations.
� Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
� Coordinate and oversee material and equipment testing, ensuring results meet quality requirements.
� Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
� Prepare and submit regular quality control reports to project management and clients.
� Provide training to construction teams on quality control processes, standards, and best practices.
� Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
� Identify and document non-conformance issues and work with project teams to develop corrective action plans.
� Monitor and verify the implementation of corrective actions to address quality deficiencies.
� Effectively communicate quality control requirements to subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members.
� Collaborate with clients to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction with the delivered product.
� Stay current on industry regulations, building codes, and quality standards to ensure compliance.
� Work with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Qualifications:

� Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
� 7 - 10 years experience as a Quality Control Manager in the construction industry.
� Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality control standards.
� Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager) is a plus.
� Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
� Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
� Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
