Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Project Manager job opportunity in Albuquerque, NM.

Work Location: This position is full time, in person, in Albuquerque, NM.
Must be a US citizen

Job Description:
The Project Management role works directly with the internal team and all external stakeholders for the overall satisfaction of the client, successful execution of projects, and the successful management of project teams. This role is a critical administration and communication link between our clients and our project teams. This person ensures the firm stays in front of the competition by providing creative solutions for our clients and their projects that result in thrilled clients, happy project teams, and profitable projects delivered on time. This position reports to a Senior Project Manager and has a continuing education responsibility for Project Engineers and Designers.

Key Responsibilities
Possess a profound sense of responsibility for the overall success of the firm
Engage and communicate proactively and effectively with all project stakeholders as necessary to ensure project goals and objectives are understood and achieved in a coordinated manner
Preserve an environment that encourages client satisfaction and recurring business opportunities
Implement processes
Drive continuous improvement
Assist in the development and implementation of training / coaching and mentoring programs
Build consensus with and inspire team members to optimize project performance through a positive and innovative approach
Provide engineering leadership and project type expertise to the client and team
When appropriate, translate for the client how the design solution addresses their goals and priorities
Ensure design complies with regulatory, code, and client requirements - provide quality assurance reviews
Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to assemble teams that include all required expertise, availability, and resources to meet the client and project requirements
Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to monitor project performance and financial performance
Provide direct oversight of project performance with a focus on client satisfaction, project success / profitability, risk management, and team effectiveness
Ensure timely and accurate billing of client accounts
Prepare agreements / fee proposals establishing project scope, schedule, and expected deliverables
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings with project team to ensure understanding and execution of scope of services, project budget, project schedule and team goals
Monitor team performance to assure compliance with contractual requirements
Ensure project files and reporting are maintained

Business Development/Marketing & Sales
Foster Business Development and Marketing within the culture. This includes developing relationships with Key Clients to drive business and maintain Key Client share.
Proactive use of the Client Relationship Management (CRM) Database
Participate in the Market Share Process – focused on market segments / new clients / new business. This includes involvement in industry such as attending events, developing relationships with people, and learning about target market segments.
Participate in the Client Share Process – focused on existing clients / growing existing business. This involves developing relationships with Key Clients, getting work programs to identify upcoming project opportunities, identifying decision makers, and learning who the other industry partners are that do business with the client.
Contribute project specific content to select RFPs
Participate in select project interviews

External Leadership / Community
Assure that the organization is consistently presented in a strong, positive image to
relevant stakeholders

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years progressive engineering experience in building construction industry
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system designs
Presentation, written, and verbal and communication skills
Understanding of regulatory and code requirements
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to travel occasionally

Desired Qualifications
Experience and proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
Licensed Professional Engineer strongly preferred

Education
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience

Working Environment
The work performed with this position will be primarily in a heated/cooled office environment.  The job will also involve occasional trips for various business purposes. The equipment this employee is expected to operate includes a computer, copier/scanner, phone, plotter, field survey tablet and various other field survey equipment. Lifting requirements are minimal (less than 1% of time) and typically does not exceed 30 pounds.
