Erector/Installer Carpenter (Aerial work experience recommended)

FT Steel Framed Fabric Structures Erector Installer with aerial work experience.
Extensive travel is required!
(12 hour days Monday thru Sunday - 7:00am to 7:00pm)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Install rigid steel framed tensioned fabric structures, worldwide. Duties include:
Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
Fastens steel members to cable of hoist with chain, cable, or rope.
Signals worker operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel member.
Guides members, using tag line.
Pulls, pushes, or pries steel members into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device.
Forces members into final position with turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools.
Aligns connection holes in member with corresponding holes in previously placed member by driving drift pins or handle of wrench through holes.
Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of members.
Bolts aligned members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.
Cuts and welds steel members to make alterations.
All aspects of fabric cladding installation.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts for 7 days a week, multiple weeks in a row.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
o stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
o The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
o The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
o Work in high, precarious places heights up to 125
o Work in extreme cold and heat; and/or wet and humid conditions
o Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
o Extensive travel is required
Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently and alongside a team of both Legacy employees and other project members
Safely lift, push, pull and carry heavy objects; walk and stand for long periods of time; work in a loud environment; and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field and weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat and humidity, and exposure to the sun
Extensive travel throughout the United States is required
Must be able to work at high heights
Valid drivers license
The candidates will need to have 2+ years of iron work or carpentry experience. Experience with pre-engineered buildings, metal or fabric, is a plus.
Be able to operate a boom lift and forklift efficiently.
Be able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
Work for 12 hours per day 7 days a week.
Show up on time.
$28-$30/Hour, $115/Day Per Diem
PPE
Hard hat, hi viz reflective vest, jacket or sweatshirt, safety glasses, steel toed boots, gloves, if you have your own harness that is a plus, but if not we will supply one. We also supply hearing protection.
