Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Lead Planner/Scheduler opportunity in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos Legacy Waste Cleanup Project.

Work Location is Remote with periodic travel to site in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
No clearance required but must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screen (includes marijuana).
Requires DOE experience within the past two years.
40-hour work week with possibility for overtime.

SCOPE
We are seeking an experienced Lead Planner/Scheduler to join our Program Management Office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors, and other project services staff. Your primary responsibility will be to provide detailed planning and scheduling support for projects, ensuring their successful execution from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule Development:
Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules, encompassing activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other project deliverables.
Create schedule logic and realistic activity durations based on comprehensive analysis.
Facilitate timely and compliant baseline change control
Utilize underlying detail schedules to develop summary schedules
Resource Analysis:
Analyze available manpower and resources, commodity charts, trends, schedule variations, schedule performance, and forecast.
Impact Assessment:
Assess the impact of design and regulatory changes and schedule slippages, keeping company management and clients informed through regular updates.
Project Control:
Apply extensive knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks.
Accumulate and access historical data for future planning and forecasting.
Problem Resolution:
Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of challenging project control problems.
Client Interaction:
Interface with clients and attend regular meetings as needed.
P6 Administration:
Support the P6 administrator as needed.
Pre-Planning and Initiative Support:
Assist in pre-planning activities and initiatives for Option Period 2 planning.
Support the requirement for a five-year rolling schedule.
Schedule Maintenance:
Maintain a Level 03 summary schedule for N3B.
Ensure the Integrated Master Schedule (baseline and forecast) meets EVMS requirements.
Data Quality Checks:
Perform monthly data quality checks to uphold the integrity of the schedules.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
This position REQUIRES direct experience working on a DOE EM FAR-based Tier 1 level contract or other DOE experience within the past 24 months specifically performing the following:
Proven experience in project planning and scheduling.
Proficiency in using scheduling tools, particularly Primavera P6.
Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
14-19 Years with BS
12-17 years with MS
9-14 years with PhD or JD
4-8 years with MD or DVM

Education Equivalency: 2 years of relevant experience for 1 year of college.
