[Mechanical Designer] Plumbing Designer - EPC - Houston, TX - 8215

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Plumbing Designer opportunity to support an Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) project.

Work Location: Houston, TX

Plumbing Designer-

Responsibilities:
Perform walk-down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate advanced design details, create new drawings, and modify existing drawings.
Read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal input from a member of the engineering staff.
Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
Review and direct work by other designers using 3D modeling software (S3D preferred).

Education:
Accredited two (2) year degree in applicable field of study (preferred but not required)

Experience:
A minimum of ten (10) years of drafting/designer experience in the engineering and construction fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, etc.
Possess a working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards (including DOE Orders) applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design.
Highly skilled in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.
Ability to walk-down field systems with minimal guidance and interpret field direction.
Generate advanced design details, create new drawings, and modify existing drawings.
Direct, check and approve work done by other Designers.
3D modeling experience (S3D preferred).
ISO Checking (preferred).
