[Foreman] Urgent: Electrical Foreman - Material Handling

Purpose

ASBECO is looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman for Material Handling. As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of workers and electricians engaged in installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment and wiring in material handling systems. This full-time on-site role requires a flexible work and travel schedule due to the nature of the industry and our clients.

Responsibilities
- Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, Rigid conduit, strut, cable trays
- Troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, and conveyor systems
- Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Layout and implementation of assigned projects per ASBECO Job Layout Procedure
- Lead by example; perform installation work while leading those workers on the crew
- Supervision of assigned employees
- Supervision of assigned independent contractors and subcontractors
- Training of assigned personnel as required
- Assure ASBECO employees and independent contractors follow ASBECO work rules as well as job-specific customer rules
- Initial and ongoing customer interface for responsible projects
- Communicate the status of responsible projects to the ASBECO General Manager on a regular basis
- Completion of all required ASBECO work reports and other required documentation as required
- Assure safety standards are maintained, including daily safety meetings and required safety reports
- Responsible for the successful completion of responsible projects
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education, License, and Experience
- Some college preferred Licensed electrician preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the electrical installation of material handling systems
- Blueprint Reading: 5 years (Required)
- Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)
- Work Location: On the road

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour and $130/ day per diem
