Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Design Basis Threat Project Manager (Security) opportunity in Carlsbad, NM to support the DOE’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) Project.

Per diem is available for those who qualify
Work will be performed at the WIPP Site, located 26 miles southeast of Carlsbad, NM
Schedule: 4/10s, Monday – Thursday, 6am-4pm

Job Description:
This position will be assigned to the Capital Asset Projects group and be matrixed to the Safeguards & Security Management Team. Provide Project Management for a multi-million-dollar Nuclear Security project designed to implement physical security measures required for compliance with Department of Energy Security 470 Series of Orders with emphasis on DOE O 470.3C.

Job Duties:
Ensure Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) applied throughout the project.
Ensure all project work meets site specifications and standards
Generate status reports and briefing for senior Company and Federal officials
Directing resources within a project organization to accomplish project milestones
Collaborating with multiple departments across the site to support projects (i.e. QA, Safety, Engineering)
Flexibility to work off hours to accomplish project related progressions or site needs

Qualifications:
High School degree or GED equivalent required. BS degree is preferred.
Project Manager should have Security Project experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and DOD or DOE construction management experience.
Individuals should have knowledge of project management financial controls and systems as well as multi-functional Project team oversight.
Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating/documenting experience managing commercial projects, and managing projects in excess of 10 million dollars, and or DOE or commercial nuclear projects
Having a current DOE Q Clearance is preferred.  Other Clearances (DOD, NRC, etc.) acceptable.
Possess fundamental knowledge of safety basis orders.
