Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Project Manager - Owner's Representative (EPM/OR) to work for one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies to address a new green field food processing plant in Ohio. The Executive Project Manager (EPM/OR) with be the key liaison with the plant owner to address issues and manage all site project management related services. The Executive Project Manager (EPM/OR) will also be actively involved with all business development, financial management, and staff development matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Develop RFPs and facilitate the selection process for engineering services, construction management of risk (CMR), design-build, or multiple prime contractors where the client’s staff manages the construction.
•    Oversee the estimating process and engage with the client to help them validate the scope of each bid package and align the estimate to any changes before it is issued to contractors. Once bids are received, the EPM/OR will assist the client in reconciling the contractor bids with the estimate and understand gaps, bid spreads, etc.  Finally, the EPM/OR will assist the client with guaranteed maximum price (GMP) negotiations, validating GMP costs.
•    Provide oversight of the master project schedule development and input on schedule strategy.
•    Support client with developing a contracting strategy that suits their project goals and objectives.
•    Provide a review of the client’s contract form and advise on +/- and risks.  
•    Recommend project controls processes, procedures and reporting requirements.
•    Recommend tools and systems or support the client in the application and disciplined use of their tools and systems across the project team.
•    Serve as an independent third party to the client to advise on conflicts, risk, contract changes/amendments, interact with the contractor and engineer as directed by the client.
•    Lead executive project meetings and interface with the clients financial, procurement, operations team, and others.
•    Provide a regular executive level report highlighting key KPIs and project risks.
•    Provide management and daily leadership for customer’s project or client’s team as may be directed.

Job Requirements:
•    Ability to manage the design/engineering phase of a project through construction completion, startup, commissioning and first product. Provides primary daily point of contact to client, engineers, contractors, and consultants at project level.
•    Ability to create, execute, and manage project execution plans for the practice and the client’s projects and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
•    Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and companies’ scope of services.
•    Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities as applicable to the role.
•    Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
•    Prepare project reviews and quality assurance procedures for the practice and the client as may be applicable.
•    Minimize companies and the client’s exposure and risk on project.
•    Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
•    Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
•    Serve as an internal project manager in providing regular forecast and expense updates to project budget.
•    Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors project receivables and/or performs similar tasks on behalf of the client.
•    Monitor and address all project billing issues and anomalies, both internal and external.
•    Manage and reviews third party engineering, contractor and consultant contracts and invoices on behalf of the client.
•    Follow up with clients and consultants, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
•    Develop project accounting forecasts and summaries and/or performs similar tasks on behalf of the client if assigned as an embedded resource on a client project.
•    Review the Project Status Report (PSR) and general financial reporting required to generate client cost reports and/or performs similar tasks on behalf of the client if assigned as an embedded resource on a client project.
•    Forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
•    Effectively pursues the execution and filing of project legal documents.
•    Perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
•    Complexity - Work involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features.
•    Decision-making - Most assignments are performed solitarily. Makes decisions on technical problems and methods. Receives approval on proposed plans for projects and general direction as to results expected or on unusual problems.
•    Work direction given to others – Will have direct supervisory responsibilities for direct reports, and indirect supervisory responsibilities related to the professional and practice related development of other project staff.
•    Should have a general understanding of Primavera, Expedition/Prolog or similar, cost estimating and cost management software tools.
•    Thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project.  Some familiarity with BIM 360 and BIM Field, File Sharing Systems (SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.), Cx Alloy.
•    Highly articulate, have a clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.  Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
•    Knowledge of Manufacturing Projects Project Management, Building Design & Construction, Process Equipment and Controls, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling and Risk Analysis.
•    Motivated, self-starter 

Physical Requirements:
•    Office and site environments with travel as required. 
•    While on site, may require protective equipment (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, etc.)

Education / Experience:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field is required.
•    10+ years’ relevant experience is required.
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) [certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global is required. 
•    Previous project leadership experience in Agribusiness/Food Manufacturing /Industrial Manufacturing projects is required.
•    Accreditation Centre (GAC)] and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) [certified by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), an independent administrative body of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)] highly desirable.
•    SAP experience is preferred.
