How will you contribute to the team?
Preparing, coordinating and reviewing process equipment and building drawing packages with a focus on electrical, controls and automation work scope.
Supporting the management of internal, contract and other resources involved in the pre-design, construction, engineering and supervising, assigning, scheduling, coordinating and evaluating contractor work.
Reports issues related to schedule, cost, progress, safety and design directly to Project Managers, Plant Project Stakeholders, and/or Contractor Managers
Supports the planning and organization of activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction issues.
Interprets the project schedule in logical steps and evaluates time required to meet deadlines.
Supports the project procurement, selection of contractors and assists with contract paperwork and management of changes.
Has some independent responsibility for assignments, though primarily supports the lead electrical Cm where project scope and complexity are extensive
Supports the coordination of QA/QC quality control plans.
Supports the coordination of safety management plans.
Supports the coordination of the building permit process and compliance with codes.
Contributes to weekly construction meetings.
Prepares daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
Supports other lead construction managers for the direct execution, inspection, and Quality acceptance of the project per relevant specifications, drawings, scope, schedule and budget
Supports the Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation, and Start-Up Activities
Reviews contractor applications for payment and recommends payment to client.
May support and monitor cost reports for the client.
Coordinates punch list preparation and project close-out.
Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Complexity - Work involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features.
Decision-Making - Most assignments are performed in a team environment. Supports decisions on technical problems and methods. Receives approval on proposed plans for projects and general direction as to results expected or on unusual problems.
Work direction given to others – At the direction of supervisors, may give work direction to, and/or reviews the work of junior technical staff and/or others who assist in specific assignments.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering or a related field, plus three to five years relevant experience or 5-7 years as an electrician and a strong cost and schedule management background.
Must have good experience as an electrician or an electrical CM in food & beverage, pharma or other industrial/ manufacturing or oil and gas projects.
Must have OSHA 30-hour or be willing to obtain the trainings. Safety is our client’s #1 priority and must own and develop a safety culture.
Must have ability to navigate Web-based construction management software (often provided by the client).
Must have experience with setting meetings, organizing agendas, and keeping minutes for project records.
Must be familiar with Primavera P6 and be able to understand schedule logic and track the progression of contractor work using a schedule (schedule provided by others) and help drive the contractors work to achieve schedule objectives.
Must be able to help the client evaluate contractor payment applications and evaluate the contractors work progress against the contractor invoice.
Evaluate contractor change orders to determine if a change is justified and then if the work effort and cost is fair and reasonable.
Oversee contractor work quality in alignment with requirements.
Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
Must be highly articulate, have clear and logical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and be driven to help the client achieve a successful project outcome,
