Immediate opportunity for a concrete forman with experience in structural (preferred) or precast concrete in Tulsa, Oklahoma
A Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of workers to complete concrete construction projects efficiently and safely. They manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that the work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and standards. This role demands a strong understanding of concrete techniques and the ability to lead and motivate a team. In addition to technical skills, a Concrete Foreman must also possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to effectively liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Concrete Foreman Responsibilities & Duties
Supervising and coordinating the work of concrete crews
Ensuring proper setup and alignment of concrete forms
Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete tasks
Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets specifications and standards
Operating and maintaining concrete equipment and tools
Enforcing safety regulations and protocols on the job site
Reading and interpreting blueprints and project plans
Communicating project status and issues with clients and management
Scheduling labor and ordering materials as needed
Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the construction process
Training and mentoring new crew members
Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
Maintaining detailed records of labor, materials, and project progress
Concrete Foreman Qualifications & Skills
Experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry
Strong understanding of concrete properties and construction methods
Proven ability to manage and lead a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and building codes
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
CPR and First Aid certifications
Ability to operate heavy machinery and concrete-specific equipment
Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks
Project management experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in concrete construction
Valid driver's license
Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary
