Position Overview:
VantagePoint Alliance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager (Owner�s Representative) to oversee and manage a Food & Beverage construction project. The ideal candidate will act on behalf of the owner to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the construction process, with a key focus on change order management, subcontractor coordination, project scheduling, budget tracking, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Owner�s on-site representative and primary point of contact for construction-related matters.
Manage daily construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, schedule, and budget.
Review and process change orders, ensuring proper documentation, cost validation, and alignment with owner expectations.
Coordinate and oversee the performance of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure quality work and timely delivery.
Monitor construction progress, conduct regular site walks, and provide detailed status reports to stakeholders.
Collaborate with the design team, general contractor, and consultants to resolve field issues and mitigate project risks.
Review and validate contractor pay applications and manage the cost control process.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Participate in construction meetings, issue meeting minutes, and track open issues through resolution.
Oversee project closeout including punch list coordination, as-built documentation, and turnover packages.
Qualifications:
Bachelor�s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
7+ years of experience in construction management with at least 3 years as an Owner�s Rep or in a similar role.
Experience managing Food & Beverage, CPG manufacturing, or industrial construction projects strongly preferred.
Proven expertise in change order management and subcontractor oversight.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, project controls, scheduling (MS Project/Primavera), and budgeting.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel to and be present on job sites as required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) construction requirements.
Familiarity with USDA, FDA, or food safety-related regulatory compliance in construction.
Proficient in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
Work Environment:
This role will be a combination of field and office work, with significant time spent on active job sites.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and walk construction sites safely.
Pay:
Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000
Per Diem: 200 dollars per day
