Job Description:
- We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipfitter with a specialization in DOD Navy shipbuilding. The ideal candidate must pass a fillet test using .052 fluxcore wire in a 3F and 4F position on 3/8" carbon steel, as well as aluminum fillet welds using the MIG process.
- Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, fabricating and assembling structural components, and conducting fillet welds to high standards of quality and precision for DOD Navy ship construction projects.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in shipbuilding techniques, welding processes, and a commitment to meeting DOD specifications and requirements for naval vessels.
- Working in a team environment, the Shipfitter will play a key role in shaping, fitting, and welding components to support the construction of Navy ships, ensuring durability and strength in the finished structures.

Requirements:
- Specialization in DOD Navy shipbuilding with proven experience in shipfitting and welding.
- Proficiency in passing fillet tests using .052 fluxcore wire in 3F and 4F positions on 3/8" carbon steel.
- Ability to perform aluminum fillet welds using the MIG process in accordance with DOD requirements.
- Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, technical drawings, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and the ability to produce high-quality welds and fitments for naval vessels.
- Commitment to safety protocols, adherence to regulations, and dedication to achieving excellence in shipfitting for DOD Navy shipbuilding projects.
