Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Splicing Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic and/or copper cable networks. This includes working with aerial, underground, and inside plant installations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and interpreting network schematics. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fiber or copper cable splicing and terminations.
Conduct tests using OTDR, power meters, and other industry-standard tools.
Analyze and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Ensure all splicing and installation work meets industry and customer standards.
Maintain detailed records and splicing documentation.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Requirements:
Certification in fiber optic or copper splicing.
Experience with fusion splicers and test equipment.
Valid driver�s license and ability to travel to job sites.
Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
