Responsibilities:
� Reviews plans and specifications to become familiar with project scopes
� Ensures that corporate estimating procedures are followed
� Support and work with estimating/engineering/business development staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications
� Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of primarily federal construction projects
� Perform constructability reviews and develop draft project schedules as needed
� Support client presentations such as charrettes, design review meetings, and value engineering meetings
� Supervise junior level estimating staff or estimating subconsultants as needed.
� Good customer services skills � for both internal and external clients.
Qualifications
� Bachelors degree or equivalent from accredited college or university; engineering or quantity survey degree preferred
� Six to ten years� experience in cost estimating for facilities/vertical construction or similar projects
� Certification such as CCT, CCP or CEP is preferred
� General knowledge of construction methods and practices and well-versed in cost estimating (MII/MCACES/PACES preferred) and construction scheduling experience preferred
� Working knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense or other federal agency cost estimating/engineering principles and best practices preferred
� Working knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
� Strong individual contributor who is comfortable and effective in working with internal discipline teams and external client teams.
� Good listening and communication skills
