Job Title: Safety Manager � Steel Erection

Pay: $30�$35/hour + $120/day per diem

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a long-term steel erection project in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a full-time role with 50-hour work weeks and per diem offered for qualified travelers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, specifically in steel erection or heavy structural work.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee site safety for all steel erection activities

Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard analysis (JHAs)

Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies

Perform regular safety audits and inspections

Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and corrective actions

Work closely with site leadership to maintain a safety-first culture

Requirements:

3+ years of construction safety experience (steel erection experience strongly preferred)

OSHA 30 certification required

Ability to lead safety initiatives and gain crew buy-in

Strong communication and documentation skills

Reliable transportation and ability to work 50 hours/week
