Position Summary:
VantagePoint Alliance is looking for Plant Maintenance Mechanics. The role is responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of power, steam, and chilled water systems of an energy center in the Phoenix area. The role focuses on ensuring plant safety, operational reliability, and energy efficiency.
Pay: Depends on Experience
Key Responsibilities:
� Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant mechanical systems and equipment.
� Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to initiate, track, and document work orders.
� Read and interpret technical documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematics to support maintenance planning and execution.
� Support safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
� Collaborate with plant operations for scheduling, coordination, and performance of maintenance tasks.
� Manage contractors and vendors, review bids, and oversee service work on-site.
� Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts, tools, and materials.
� Participate in planning and implementation of facility upgrades and capital projects.
� Document maintenance work, inspections, and updates in logs and reports.
� Perform other duties as assigned, including support for plant operations and general facility upkeep.
Qualifications:
� High school diploma or equivalent required.
� Minimum of 5 years� experience maintaining power generation, steam, and/or chilled water systems.
� Proven hands-on troubleshooting experience in central utility or cogeneration plant environments.
� Working knowledge of contractor management and bid processes.
� EPA Section 609 refrigeration certification is a plus.

� Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
� Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
� Proficient with CMMS and basic computer tools.
� Strong communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
� High personal standards for safety, quality, and accountability.
� Ability to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
� Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied environmental conditions.
