Position Summary:
VantagePoint Alliance is looking for I&C Technicians. The role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair of instrumentation and control systems that support the reliable operation in Phoenix. This includes electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and digital systems. The technician ensures safe and efficient plant performance through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of control system hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
� Inspect, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control components including mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
� Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
� Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and controls.
� Maintain and update control system documentation, logs, manuals, and schematics.
� Program and maintain Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Allen-Bradley, GE PAC Systems RX3i, Johnson Controls, or Wonderware.
� Provide support for electrical maintenance and interface with process systems and plant operators.
� Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track and complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
� Coordinate with other plant personnel, contractors, and vendors to meet project timelines and maintenance goals.
� Mentor and train junior technicians to build technical capacity within the team.
� Serve as backup for plant operations when needed.
� Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
� Associate degree in instrumentation, electronics, or related technical field�or equivalent hands-on experience.
� 5+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems maintenance.
� Proficiency in DCS programming, troubleshooting, and process control logic.
� Strong understanding of analog/digital electronics, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
� Knowledge of large-scale HVAC, cogeneration, or central utility plant operations preferred.
� Basic contract/vendor coordination experience a plus.
� Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environmental conditions.
