The FTA provides technical advice during the unloading, storage, and installation of equipment, inspects the assembly, alignment and clearances of equipment, maintains back charges within budget, addresses construction issues/problems, interprets mechanical and structural drawings for contractors, reports job progress including field problems using field service report form, and manages contractors in onsite repairs and modifications.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience as an onsite Lead or Supervisor in the construction or energy fields; experience as a superintendent preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of industrial construction in the power industry, welding and NDE.
Strong written and spoken communication skills, ability to work with office engineers, field erection craftspeople, construction management and customers. Proficiency in English.
Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
