Trillium Construction is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team serving the Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota markets.

We are flexible on your home location within the territory—what matters is your willingness to travel to job sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure client safety and compliance with industry standards.

Pay is $36 – $42 (based on experience) with a gas card provided.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week expected.

Key Responsibilities
-Review blueprints/drawings to determine device locations and placement
-Ensure materials and equipment match project scope
-Install equipment per national electrical, fire alarm, and life safety codes
-Meet with on-site contacts at the start and end of each workday
-Verify system integrity before tying into existing building systems
-Conduct functional testing, metering, and sound level checks to NFPA standards
-Perform repairs to ensure full system compliance
-Complete required documentation and “as-built” drawings for NFPA compliance
-Maintain accurate job records and provide regular status updates
-Care for assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting any issues promptly

Qualifications
-Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in the fire alarm industry
-Certification: NICET in Fire Alarm Technology (Level 3 preferred; must obtain within first year)
-Strong electrical/technical aptitude
-Proficient in using test equipment (digital multimeters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, etc.)
-Excellent written and oral communication skills; customer service oriented
-Leadership or crew management experience preferred
-Team player who can also work independently
-Clean driving record and reliable transportation
-Flexible schedule; occasional evenings, weekends, or out-of-town assignments
