TradeForce Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Solar Lead or Site Superintendent who will be the primary leader and manager of field construction. Superintendent manages the specific parts of the project budget (e.g. Rooftop/DC Install, AC Install, Deliveries, Safety, equipment) as defined by the Project Manager.

Hours: 40+
Pay Scale:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour (based on experience)
$65.00 (daily) per diem
Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor the Safety Plan for the project and ensure all subcontractors comply with the Safety Plan. Create and implement site specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
Outline tasks for Racking and Panel Installers on the roof, making sure layout is correct along with all aspects of mounting racking optimizers string wiring and panels.
Collaborate with Project Manager and Lead Engineer to create projects milestone schedule.
Plan, coordinate, schedule and dispatch specific crews and individual installers to perform field work activities per the project schedule.
Oversee and manage project materials.
Optimize the profitability of the company through field planning and efficiency without jeopardizing the quality, safety or timely completion of the project.
Own quality and safety of all activities with an emphasis on fall protection and code compliant DC and AC electrical installation.
Review BOM (bill of materials) and verify correct materials delivery in time to maintain workflow.
Perform site walks and pre-construction evaluation.
Coordinate deliveries, handling, storage and placement of materials on the jobsite.
Qualifications:
Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Proven experience managing work sites and crew members including providing appropriate action and coaching to improve behavior and/or performance.
Previous experience teaching Installers the basic practices of PV preferred.
Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems and National Electric Code.
Ability to commission PV systems and troubleshoot common problems (i.e. ground faults, polarity).
Basic carpentry skills.
OSHA 10-hour training or equivalent
Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments
Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs
Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, light rain, crawl spaces or attics, steep roofs in a harness).
Licensed, or willingness to become licensed, to drive forklift, scissor and boom lifts.
Current CA driver license with clean record for last 5 years.
Ability to lift at least 75 pounds; comfortable climbing ladders and working at unusual heights.
