Responsibilities
Commissioning
Inspections & testing: Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections and testing of PV systems according to construction documents prior to energization.
Documentation: Document inspection findings, test results, and corrective actions.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues and deficiencies encountered during commissioning.
Collaboration: Work with engineering, construction, and safety teams to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Safety: Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures.
Decommissioning
Disconnection: Safely disconnect the solar project from the electrical grid.
Equipment Removal: Dismantle and remove solar panels, racking systems, electrical equipment, and other components.
Hazardous Waste Management: Properly identify, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials according to regulations.
Site Restoration: Oversee the restoration of the land to a reasonably similar condition to its original state.
Safety & Compliance: Implement safe dismantling protocols, including electrical system shutdown, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installations, repairs, and decommissioning activities.
