We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and construction site experience. This role involves operating various types of machinery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. This project is in Michigan City, Indiana.

Monday through Friday

40 hours-possible OT

Hourly pay plus $150.00 daily per diem

Duties

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and concrete mixers.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks.
Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks efficiently and safely.
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on construction sites.
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
Requirements

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction environments.
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery.
Valid commercial driving license is preferred for operating larger vehicles.
Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including Caterpillar equipment, farm machinery, tankers, and other construction-related vehicles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
