[Field Technician] Traveling Equipment Mechanic

The Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and preventative maintenance of 12-volt electronic systems and IoT technology components on heavy equipment. This role combines technical proficiency, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills to ensure the optimal performance of customer equipment. Technicians will travel nationwide to perform installations, service, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and

equipment in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Position Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair 12-volt electronic systems and technology components on heavy equipment.

• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with quality standards.

• Utilize diagnostic computers and tools to conduct detailed troubleshooting and configuration of complex systems.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of work performed using mobile computing devices and Microsoft Office tools.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements during all installations and service calls.

• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and project leaders to clarify expectations and resolve issues.

• Independently manage service schedules and travel itineraries while working with minimal supervision.

• Maintain all tools and equipment in service-ready condition; technicians are required to supply their own tools.

• Represent professionally at customer sites and wear company-provided uniforms at all times.

• Provide feedback to leadership teams regarding equipment performance, customer needs, and service improvement opportunities.

Ray Range: $25 - $35 an hour based on Experience, Interview, and Region.
