We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to safely operate a Potain Hup 40-30 self-erecting tower crane on our active job site. The crane has a 98’ tower height and 131’ jib, with a maximum lift capacity of 8,800 lbs. Power is supplied by a generator on site.

Responsibilities

Operate the Potain Hup 40-30 tower crane using the remote control system in accordance with ASME B30.29 and OSHA 1926.1435 standards.

Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain accurate operator logs, service records, and lift reports.

Coordinate lifts with the site superintendent and rigging crew to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Refuel and service the on-site generator powering the crane as needed.

Conduct pre-lift safety checks and confirm ground conditions and mat placement per manufacturer recommendations.

Comply with all site safety rules, crane manufacturer limits, and weather contingency protocols.

Participate in setup and demobilization of the self-erecting crane.

Requirements

Valid NCCCO Tower Crane (TSS/TCO) certification or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ experience operating self-erecting or tower cranes.

Familiarity with Potain Hup 40-30 or similar models preferred.

Ability to read lift plans and communicate effectively with signal persons and riggers.

OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Safety certification.

Strong commitment to safety and documentation accuracy.
