Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of an industrial manufacturing project within the nuclear sector. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, and compliance across multidisciplinary teams in a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in nuclear or defense-related manufacturing and a strong understanding of NQA-1, DOE, and NRC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle—from initiation to closeout
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Ensure compliance with NQA-1, DOE, NRC, and internal quality and safety standards
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to meet technical and delivery milestones
Identify and mitigate project risks, manage change control, and resolve issues proactively
Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Support audits, inspections, and customer reviews with accurate and timely reporting
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project objectives and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field
10+ years of experience managing technical projects with 5+ years in the nuclear, aerospace, or defense industries
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and government contract reporting
Familiarity with NQA-1 and nuclear regulatory frameworks
Strong interpersonal skills and experience interfacing with customers and key stakeholder
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline
PMP or equivalent project management certification
Experience supporting DOE or NRC-regulated projects
Familiarity with complex systems or high-speed rotating equipment
Other Job Requirements:
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security clearance. Active clearance is a plus.
