VantagePoint Alliance is seeking Field Engineers responsible for the on-site technical support, installation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure systems. The role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability for projects in the fields of electrical, civil, mechanical, and/or building systems, such as those found in a data center. The Field Engineer will be a key liaison between project managers, clients, and on-site technicians, providing expertise to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspections, quality control, and testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and diagnose problems with electrical, civil, mechanical, or building systems, providing effective, real-time solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to understand project requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure clear communication of project status and updates.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems, such as power and cooling systems in data centers.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, work plans, and as-built data.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards on-site.
- Act as a technical resource for a specific discipline (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Building/Data Center) to support project teams and clients.
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field engineering or similar role, with demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following: Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Building systems, particularly in a mission-critical environment like a data center.
- Experience with relevant equipment such as large-tonnage chillers, combustion turbine generators, or UPS systems is a plus (p. 1).
- Professional certification in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.

- Proficient in using engineering software, diagnostic tools, and control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.

- High standards for safety, performance, and professionalism.
- Able to work on-site, including in challenging conditions or confined spaces as needed
