We are hiring full time positions
Installs, maintains, repairs, dismantles and moves many types of machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments as well as directing and training millwright helpers to do the same.
Work Schedule: Minimum of (6) Ten hour days
Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to)
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle machines using , wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, roller and trucks using rigging practices within company safety guidelines. Keeps machines and equipment in efficient operating condition, and performs various duties (i.e. dismantling, moving, commissioning, adjusting, or repairing machines).
Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement and steel. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb tools.
Assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools. Operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. Repair and lubricate machines and equipment. Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.
Visualizes objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings. Work with in precise limits and standards of accuracy.
Follow oral and written directions. Work within company policy as outlined in the SONS Craft Handbook and in compliment with the Human Resources Policy Manual, Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Essential Qualifications Three (3) years minimum Field experience in trade Able to identify various type of machinery and understanding of their working operations.
