Construction Manager – Electrical / Substation Projects

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in field electrical work to oversee substation, transmission and distribution, and utility infrastructure projects. This role will lead onsite execution, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily construction activities for electrical and substation projects.

Oversee field crews and subcontractors; ensure work aligns with project plans, drawings, and utility standards.

Monitor safety, quality, and progress; proactively address issues in the field.

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and utility representatives to maintain schedule and resolve technical challenges.

Review and interpret electrical drawings, work packages, and construction documents.

Participate in planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.

Requirements:

Experience managing electrical construction in the field—substations, high-voltage, transmission/distribution, or industrial electrical preferred.

Demonstrated leadership overseeing craft labor and subcontractors.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety practices, and utility construction standards.

Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred — OR equivalent experience rising through the electrical trades.

Electrical license (Journeyman/ Master Electrician) or electrical engineering background strongly preferred.

Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
