• Demonstrated ability to audit EPC quality programs and enforce compliance with contract requirements, codes, and industry standards.
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to support construction of a combined-cycle power plant in Utah. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role provides independent oversight of the EPC Contractor’s QA/QC program to ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable codes and standards, and project specifications. The QA/QC Manager works closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to promote high-quality execution and long-term plant reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide QA/QC leadership to ensure construction, commissioning, and engineering activities meet contractual, regulatory, and industry quality standards.
• Oversee and audit EPC Contractor QA/QC programs, including field inspections and verification of work activities.
• Coordinate with EPC partners and internal project teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Serve as a liaison between construction, engineering, commissioning, project controls, and operations to support consistent quality execution.
• Develop and manage QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, reporting tools, and staffing plans.
• Supervise and mentor assigned quality personnel, providing technical guidance and field support as needed.
Job Requirements:
• Experience leading QA/QC programs on large-scale power generation and utility-scale energy construction projects.
• Strong electrical quality control background within power plant and power delivery systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety, commissioning, environmental, testing, operations, and maintenance requirements across project execution.
• Working knowledge of NERC, SERC, and CIP policies and compliance expectations applicable to power generation and power delivery facilities.
• Ability to audit EPC quality programs and enforce compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards.
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of QA/QC or quality inspection experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibility; candidates without a degree must possess 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional certifications relevant to quality or inspection disciplines (e.g., AWS, CWI, ISM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
