Millwright Mechanic – Bakery Production Line Installation

Location: Bessemer, Alabama
Pay Rate: $34.00/hour (Local Candidates Only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 55 Hours Per Week (OT after 40)
Duration: 17 Weeks (Includes 1-Month Intermission)

Project Overview

We are seeking experienced Millwright Mechanics to support a 17-week high-tech bakery production line installation in Bessemer, AL.

This project includes machinery unloading, rigging, precision alignment, mechanical installation, and startup support of automated bakery equipment.

This is a local-only opportunity — no per diem offered.

Schedule & Hours

Start: Late March (Calendar Week 14)

Monday – Friday

7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

55 hours per week

Overtime paid after 40 hours

Day shift only

Project Timeline

First 4 weeks: Active installation

1-month production intermission (temporary break in work)

13-week full manpower ramp-up

Candidates must be willing to accept the one-month project intermission.

Key Responsibilities

Unload and rig bakery production equipment

Set, level, and precision-align machinery

Mechanically assemble high-speed automated production lines

Read and interpret mechanical drawings and layout plans

Work alongside electrical teams and supervisors

Maintain strict safety compliance onsite

Required Qualifications

OSHA 10 Certification (Required)

Active Forklift Certification

Active Boom Lift Certification

Proven industrial millwright experience (machine alignment & installation)

Ability to work 55 hours per week

Must be local to Bessemer, AL area
