Key Project Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in electrical construction, field engineering, or electrical supervision on power generation or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong background in electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and high-voltage equipment used in power projects.
• Prior experience supporting construction or commissioning activities on Mitsubishi gas turbine projects, preferably J-class, is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate electrical construction activities while ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to support construction of a major power infrastructure project in Utah. This role is responsible for leading on-site electrical construction activities and ensuring work is performed safely, in accordance with project specifications, and in compliance with applicable codes and quality standards. The Electrical Lead will work closely with contractors, engineers, and the project team to support high-quality installation, inspection, testing, and integration of electrical systems and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate electrical construction activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan and coordinate daily and long-term construction activities.
• Conduct regular field inspections and walkdowns to verify quality, workmanship, and compliance with project and safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with the project team to resolve technical and execution issues and support achievement of project milestones.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to support project schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices, including compliance with site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field personnel as needed.
• Support project close-out activities, including final inspections, commissioning, and turnover to operations.
Job Requirements:
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems used in power generation or heavy industrial projects.
• Prior experience supporting construction or commissioning activities on Mitsubishi gas turbine projects, preferably J-class, is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience on large power or industrial construction projects preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and supporting multi-discipline construction activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical challenges and adapt to project needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
Education / Experience:
• Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant technical degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical construction, field engineering, or electrical supervision on power or heavy industrial projects.
• Prior experience in a lead or senior electrical role on large construction projects is strongly preferred.
