Key Project Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in civil field engineering or construction oversight, preferably in power generation or heavy industrial projects
• Strong experience supporting civil construction, embedment, and equipment foundations
• Proven background in quality, inspection, and compliance with project specifications and ITPs
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an experienced Civil Field Engineer to support a major power generation project in Pennsylvania. This role provides on-site technical support and oversight to the construction partner for civil works associated with owner and EPC engineered scopes, including foundations, embedments, and equipment interfaces. The Civil Field Engineer will focus on quality, safety, and technical compliance, ensuring construction activities align with project requirements, specifications, and industry standards, while supporting site leadership with reporting, turnover, and closeout activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide field-level civil engineering support and respond to technical queries related to engineered scopes, foundations, embedments, and equipment interfaces
• Verify civil construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and quality requirements; recommend corrective actions as needed
• Review and support construction quality documentation, including ITPs, method statements, and turnover procedures
• Witness and sign off on inspection points and support inspection and test activities
• Monitor, document, and report deviations, non-conformances, and quality or safety issues to project management
• Enforce project EHS requirements and stop work when unsafe or non-compliant conditions are observed
• Participate in civil turnover, punch list, as-built documentation, and project closeout activities
Job Requirements:
• Strong technical knowledge of civil construction in power generation or heavy industrial environments
• Solid understanding of construction quality control, inspection, turnover, and documentation processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Proven ability to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field strongly preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience in civil field engineering, construction oversight, or site quality roles
• Power generation or heavy industrial project experience required
