Alpha Omega Erection is seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join our precast concrete operations team. This position is responsible for welding structural steel components, embeds, connection plates, and reinforcing assemblies used in commercial precast concrete systems. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience in structural fabrication, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural welding on precast embeds, plates, and steel components

Weld reinforcing steel and structural frames per project specifications

Read and interpret shop drawings and structural blueprints

Ensure welds meet AWS and project-specific standards

Inspect completed welds for structural integrity and quality

Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe operation

Work closely with plant supervisors and quality control teams

Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5+ years of structural welding experience (precast experience preferred)

Proficient in MIG and Stick welding (Flux-core a plus)

Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings

Knowledge of AWS D1.1 standards preferred

Experience working in a fabrication shop or precast plant environment

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial conditions

Preferred Certifications

AWS Certification (D1.1 Structural Welding)

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
