Key Project Requirements:  
•    Strong hands-on experience with GE Mark VIe control systems and ToolboxST
•    Experience supporting commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting on power generation projects
•    Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus
•    Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced commissioning and startup environment

Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an experienced DCS Engineer to support commissioning, startup, and early operations activities on a large combined cycle power generation project. This role will focus on the GE Mark VIe control system and associated plant control and communication networks. The DCS Engineer will work closely with commissioning, I&C, operations, and OEM field teams to support system checkout, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems and field communications. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Provide on-site engineering support for the GE Mark VIe DCS during system checkout, commissioning, and startup activities.
•    Support I/O checkout, loop checks, functional testing, and system validation activities.
•    Troubleshoot control system issues related to logic, sequencing, permissives, trips, alarms, and interlocks.
•    Support and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus connections to package skids and subsystems.
•    Assist with configuration changes, logic modifications, and system tuning as required to support safe and reliable plant operation.
•    Work closely with I&C, commissioning, OEM, and operations teams to resolve control system and integration issues.
•    Support startup activities including first fire, roll, synchronization, load testing, and system performance testing as applicable.
•    Document issues, changes, and resolutions in accordance with project commissioning and turnover requirements.
•    Ensure all work is performed in compliance with site safety procedures, LOTO requirements, and project protocols.

Job Requirements:
•    Strong working knowledge of GE Mark VIe control systems and ToolboxST.
•    Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus.
•    Proven troubleshooting skills in live plant or commissioning environments.
•    Ability to read and interpret control logic, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control system documentation.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under schedule-driven startup conditions.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with multi-discipline teams.

Education / Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
•    5+ years of experience supporting DCS or control systems in power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments.
•    Prior experience supporting commissioning and startup activities on large power or industrial projects required.
•    Direct experience with GE Mark VIe systems required
