Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Jockey to ensure the secure and organized operation of our container storage yard. This role involves utilizing a yard switcher and pickup truck to manage equipment and direct drivers. You will also be responsible for gate security transactions, lifting and relocating improperly parked equipment, conducting security checks, and performing inventory counts.

Responsibilities
* Secure and organize the container storage yard efficiently.
* Utilize yard switchers and pickup trucks for effective management.
* Direct drivers in picking up and dropping off equipment.
* Conduct gate security transactions and ensure yard safety.
* Lift and relocate improperly parked equipment as necessary.
* Perform regular security checks and inventory counts.

Work Environment

This role involves outdoor work in a shipping container storage yard, requiring comfort working in varying weather conditions. The operation runs 365 days a year, including weekends and some holidays. The position is on the 3rd shift, from 10pm to 6:30am, with overtime available on weekdays and weekends. You will be utilizing equipment such as yard jockeys, pickup trucks, and forklifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
